MEDICARE CAN BE CONFUSING.
WE ARE HERE TO HELP!
It is very important for everyone becoming eligible for Medicare to get accurate information about coverage and delivery options, including supplemental health insurance, Medicare health plans, and prescription drug coverage. Attention to these issues will help you avoid serious and costly problems later.
Randolph Senior Adults Association is the SHIIP Coordinating Site for Randolph County. The Seniors’ Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) is a division of the NC Department of Insurance which assists Medicare beneficiaries. SHIIP counselors offer free and unbiased information regarding Medicare health care products.
This presentation, from the NC SHIIP office in Raleigh, is designed to help you learn the basics. For more information and one-on-one assistance, contact SHIIP Coordinators:

Celebrating the Brighter Side of 50!
What is the "Brighter Side of 50?" At the Randolph Senior Adults Association, it is living life to the fullest. It is meeting new people. It is going new places. It is trying new things. It is helping others. And, sometimes, it is receiving services that help you remain independent at home.
Caring for a loved one with dementia presents numerous challenges for families and caregivers. Having dementia puts older adults at risk of wandering, increased aggression, hallucinations, and depression.
Caring.com is a website filled with valuable information for caregivers. Below is a link to a new resource that explains the most common crises that arise and offers caregivers strategies to cope with or prevent them if a situation occurs. Click here to learn more.
